In Drama this semester we are developing a repertoire of skills and techniques to take creative risks and express ideas and emotions through and for performance in our first five units: Mime, Clown, Improv, Mask, and Mask Making.
Students will experience a variety of different genres and styles by attending productions at various local theatres to make connections with our Whitehorse theatre community.
Students will be able to describe, analyze, respond, and reflect on dramatic works and make connections with personal experiences. We will discuss how this art form can influence or be influenced by social, cultural, historical, environmental, and personal context. Students will learn about each audience and how to demonstrate respect for them, ourselves and others.
