Theatre

Our new curriculum has changed the way we teach our subjects. Instead of learning content we are focusing on a set of skills that one must have to achieve success in their grade.
The document below is the list of the competency skills from grades 10-12.
You'll notice that some skills have been repeated, some skills have changed the wording and some skills  are new. This is where we must begin.

We've started our mime unit last week. We always begin with Mime because it is a fundamental skill that is used in many theatrical forms especially in improv.
We begin with basic exercise to build understanding of the key elements of mime. We hold, build and use invisible objects in a variety of contexts.
This is both an exciting and difficult skill because of the attention/focus that needs to be given.
