A1: TP12: Theatre Analysis
Using a MAD show, and another student production online, you are critiquing the set, costumes, props, lights, filming, and sound in these productions, to see if there are things that you don't think are working for the productions. Learn from what's come before!
Due: Jan 31
A2: TP12: Re-build the booth
In this assignment, I disassembled the booth, removing and unhooking all the sound and light boards, and as a team, set the tech crew the task of hooking everything all back up and testing both lights and sound to see if they were put together correctly. This was a group effort and will be marked as such. This was a great introduction to the gear, by having everyone touch and consider the way the system is set up.
A3: TP12: Building a Soundscape
Students are building a 'sound illusion' that we will listen to in the dark. This is a showpiece that focuses on the power of sound in theatre.
Due: March 4, 2020
B1: TP12: Lighting: Planning the Scenes
In this assignment, you are going to take a scene that I've provided and just put your spin on the lighting and give reasons why you chose to light it that way.
B2: TP12: Set and Projection
In this assignment, students are expected to take a piece of tenplast and create a set piece, by painting and dressing this piece. They can use some additional pieces, such as a chair to finish it off and project an image in the background to compliment the scene.
